If you've been accused or charged with a motoring offence early advice is crucial.

Driving Uninsured

The law requires that any person ‘using’ a vehicle on a public road is covered at least by a policy of third party insurance.

If you do not have insurance, then you are committing a criminal offence punishable by the imposition of 6 penalty points or a period of up to 12 months disqualification.

If however  the Court is satisfied that there are 'special reasons' why you were using the vehicle without insurance then you may be able to avoid any penalty points or disqualification.

Before you enter a plea to this offence and put your licence in jeopardy, it is important that you seek legal advice to disciver whether you may be able to keep your licence.
